Gifts Garden
The Gifts Garden is a private collection of “gifts” we share with each other as a community. What does this mean?
Members of the Gifts Garden — regular people just like you — tell the Foundation all about their skills, interests, and capacity to help. These can be skills like hosting a dinner party, building a desk, repairing plaster, graphic design, making phone calls, officiating weddings, baking bread, planning budget meals, photography, de-escalation, gardening and so much more! The Foundation then holds onto this information until someone in the community makes a request.
The Gifts Garden is intended to connect people with needs that may not be fulfilled by the Foundation directly to community members who can help fulfill those needs. This is a give and take relationship — people helping people! The contact information for all Gift Garden members is stored securely and only shared with a requestor upon consent of the member. It is separate from our public database of organizational resources found here.
